History Summer Art Camp Instructor

 

The Springfield Art Association is seeking a camp counselor for Camp Edwards Place in summer 2020 for historically themed camps. The counselor will be expected to teach various historical topics for up to 12 campers per camp, update the curator on needs for the camp, morning prep, and post-camp clean-up daily. These camps take place in an historic home, with one of SAA’s top missions being to preserve the home. Camps run for 5 days, Monday-Friday, from 9 AM to noon, for 8 weeks in the summer. This position will cover up to 6 weeks of camp and pays $14/hr.  Camps include: Archaeology, Historical Cooking, Life in the 19th Century, and Civil War Encampment. A Bachelor’s Degree in History, Education, or related field is preferred. Please send a resume to: collections@springfieldart.org
